New York Fashion Week
This year’s New York Fashion Week asks a deeper question than who you’re wearing. Instead, it asks how we can express our multifaceted selves.
What happens when a woman decides to embrace every part of herself?
For Spring, Rachel Comey found a muse in Rosalyn Drexle, the legendary New York artist and writer whose life stretched far beyond painting. Drexler was a playwright, novelist, nightclub singer, Emmy-winning comedy writer, and professional wrestler. A true New York original.
That same multifaceted spirit lives in Comey’s clothes. Evening meets everyday. A belt bag with tough hardware paired with a knit sweater. Sport shorts with metal studs. A dress can take you from the gallery to dinner, then onto the subway.
It’s a celebration of clothing that doesn’t wait for a special occasion. Instead, it’s clothes for every version of who we are.
